Location: Witham, Essex

Hours: Part time, 24 hours a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm

Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum full-time equivalent (approx. £16,800 – £18,000 per year actual, based on 24 hours a week), plus monthly bonus based on company performance

About the Role

Avia Technique is looking for a Van Driver to join its Witham Logistics team on a part-time, three-day week. In this hands-on role in a growing facility, you’ll complete collections and deliveries from key aviation customer sites across the South and South East.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Van Driver, you’ll schedule your delivery and collection routes and drive in a safe, professional manner in line with UK road laws. You’ll load and unload the vehicle using the right handling and restraint aids, make frequent checks on each unit, and complete the paperwork for every delivery and collection.

You’ll also look after your vehicle, with routine checks of tyres, windscreens, oil, water and windscreen wash, and regular cleaning as needed. When you’re on site, you’ll support the logistics team by packing items, picking parts, unpacking and booking in equipment.

What You’ll Bring

• At least 2 years’ proven experience in a professional driving role
• A manual driving licence valid in the UK
• Experience driving a 3.5 tonne van
• Knowledge of the major road network in the South and South East
• Good attention to detail (essential)
• Good spoken and written communication skills (essential)
• Comfort with regular manual handling, including lifting and moving equipment of varying size and weight
• Desirable: experience of working with dangerous goods (ADR licence not required)
