These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of MadyJobSearch.com (the "Site").
The Site is operated by MAKZEE LTD, a company registered in Scotland under company number SC877764, with its registered office at 383 High Street, Cowdenbeath, KY4 9QW, United Kingdom ("MAKZEE", "MadyJobSearch", "we", "us"). Contact: support@madyhr.ai.
By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
MadyHR.ai is a separate service operated by MAKZEE under its own terms at madyhr.ai.
1. What MadyJobSearch is
MadyJobSearch is a job advert website. It shows two kinds of advert:
- Adverts from other sources: licensed job feeds and employers' own public careers pages. Clicking one takes you to the site it came from, or to the employer's own website, to read more and apply there.
- Adverts posted by employers directly on the Site, free of charge. Depending on the employer's choice, you apply on the employer's own website or through the Site.
Anyone can browse and search without an account. Job seekers can create a free account to build a profile, upload CVs, see match scores, save jobs and searches, get job alerts and apply through the Site. Employers create a free account to post adverts and receive applications.
The Site also shows sponsor information for employers, taken from the Home Office's public register of licensed sponsors and from what the advert itself says. Section 8 explains what it means and its limits.
2. What it is not
MadyJobSearch is a job advert website with self-service tools. It is not an employment agency or employment business within the meaning of the Employment Agencies Act 1973. We do not find candidates for employers or put candidates forward, we do not interview, vet or recommend anyone for a job, and we do not act for either side. Job seekers decide which jobs to apply for; employers decide whom to interview and hire. When you apply, you deal with the employer directly.
Match scores (section 9) are an automatic comparison between a profile and an advert, shown to both sides as a guide. They are not a recommendation by us of any person, and they decide nothing.
MadyJobSearch is also not:
- an immigration adviser, and gives no advice on visas, sponsorship or right to work
- a careers adviser, solicitor or provider of professional advice
- affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for any government body, including the Department for Work and Pensions or the Home Office
- a guarantor of any vacancy, response, interview or job
3. Free of charge
The Site is free for job seekers and free for employers.
We never charge job seekers a fee for finding work. If anyone asks you for money in connection with a vacancy you found here, that request did not come from us. Do not pay, and tell us at support@madyhr.ai.
We may introduce optional paid features for employers in future. They will be clearly marked and governed by additional terms at the time.
4. Job seekers
You must be at least 16 to create an account or apply through the Site.
Your account. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You can edit or delete your profile, CVs, saved searches and search history at any time, and delete your whole account under Settings.
Adverts come from employers and from other job sites. We do not verify them. An advert may be out of date, filled, withdrawn, inaccurate, or in rare cases not genuine. Use your own judgement. Never pay money, send identity documents, or share bank details in response to an advert until you have satisfied yourself that the employer is genuine.
We give no guarantee that any vacancy is still available, that an employer will read or reply to an application, that you will be interviewed, or that you will be offered or obtain work.
Everything you put in a CV or application must be accurate. Do not include false qualifications, false employment history or anything intended to mislead an employer.
5. Adverts from other sources
Adverts marked as coming from another source are supplied either under licence by Reed.co.uk and Adzuna ("Jobs by Adzuna"), or from employers' own public careers pages hosted on recruitment platforms such as Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workable. Each advert shows where it came from and links to the original. We follow each provider's terms on attribution and display.
These adverts belong to the employer or provider concerned. We display them as supplied, do not alter their substance, and close them on the Site when they are removed at the source. We are not responsible for their content.
If you are an employer or provider and believe an advert is shown here without the right to do so, email support@madyhr.ai and we will remove it promptly.
6. Employers posting adverts
By creating an account and posting an advert you confirm that you are acting for a business, that the vacancy is genuine and current, that you have authority to post it, and that you will handle every application lawfully.
Your advert must:
- describe a real job that is available now, with an accurate title, location, pay and hours
- identify the employer or, where a recruitment agency posts on an employer's behalf, the agency
- state clearly if the role is zero hours, commission only, self-employed, or an apprenticeship
- pay at least the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage for the age of the person employed, unless a lawful exemption applies
- comply with the Equality Act 2010, and not state or imply a preference on any protected characteristic unless a lawful exception applies
- comply with all other employment and immigration law
Your advert must not:
- require applicants to pay any fee, buy anything, or take an unpaid trial
- ask for identity documents, bank details or other personal data beyond what the application genuinely needs
- be used to build a database of candidates where no actual vacancy exists
- duplicate another advert you already have live
- contain premium-rate telephone numbers, or advertise anything unlawful
Keeping adverts current. You must close an advert as soon as the vacancy is filled or withdrawn. Adverts that are no longer available mislead job seekers and must not remain on the Site. An advert with a closing date closes automatically on that date.
We may edit, decline or remove any advert at our discretion, without notice and without liability. We are not obliged to publish any advert.
7. Applications made through the Site
Where an employer chooses to receive applications through the Site, the job seeker's chosen CV, covering message, answers to the employer's questions and profile, including their right-to-work status and match score, are made available to that employer only.
The employer is the data controller for every application it receives, from the moment it is made. The employer decides how it is used, must handle it in accordance with data protection law and the Equality Act 2010, and must not make a decision about an applicant based only on a match score. MadyJobSearch holds applications on the employer's behalf, as its processor, under the data processing terms in section 8 of our Privacy Policy.
Job seekers: once you have applied, your application is with the employer. You can withdraw it in your account, which hides your contact details, CV and answers from the employer, but we cannot recall anything the employer has already downloaded. Questions about how an employer uses your application should go to the employer.
Employers: you must not use applications for any purpose other than filling the vacancy advertised, must not share them with third parties except as needed for recruitment, and must delete them when the retention period in our Privacy Policy expires unless you have a lawful reason to keep them.
8. Sponsor information
Each job shows a Sponsor Signal: three checks on whether the employer appears as a licensed sponsor on the Home Office register, whether the advert says it offers sponsorship, and whether the advertised pay reaches the general Skilled Worker salary threshold.
It is a guide built from public information, not advice. The register can be out of date, a licensed sponsor may not sponsor a particular role, some jobs have a higher salary requirement, and only the employer can decide to sponsor you. We give no advice on visas, sponsorship or right to work. Check with the employer, and see GOV.UK or a regulated immigration adviser, before relying on it.
9. Matching and search
The Site compares profiles and searches with adverts to show match scores with their reasons and to read plain-English searches. This runs on our own systems; see Matching and AI in the Privacy Policy.
Scores and search results can be wrong or incomplete. A score may miss experience your profile does not mention, and a search may rank a less relevant advert higher. Read the full advert before you rely on it. The Site makes no automated decision about any individual.
10. Acceptable use
You must not use the Site to:
- break the law, or help anyone else to
- post a vacancy that is not genuine, or apply with false information
- harvest, scrape, copy or bulk-download adverts, applications or any other data
- contact an employer or applicant for any purpose other than the vacancy concerned
- send unsolicited marketing or spam
- upload malware, or attempt to access data that is not yours
- probe, scan or test the Site for vulnerabilities
- impersonate any person or organisation
- post anything defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory or infringing
11. Intellectual property
MAKZEE owns the Site: the software, design, branding and the content we create. Adverts belong to the employers and providers who supplied them. You may use the Site for its intended purpose and nothing more.
Job seekers grant MAKZEE a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and process their profile and CVs to provide the Site to them, and to show them to an employer when they apply. Employers grant MAKZEE a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and transmit their adverts and to hold applications on their behalf, for as long as the advert is live and the retention period in our Privacy Policy, and for no other purpose.
12. Availability and changes
We aim for the Site to be available at all times but do not guarantee it. We may change, add, suspend or withdraw any feature, or the whole Site, at any time. Because the Site is free, no refund or compensation is due.
13. Other websites
The Site links to employer websites, job sites and other third parties, and depends on third-party providers for hosting, file storage and email. Those sites and services have their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control and are not responsible for.
14. Suspension and removal
We may suspend or close any account, or remove any advert or application, without notice where necessary, for breach of these Terms, unlawful use, a security threat, or where the law requires. Because the Site is free, no compensation is due.
Job seekers may delete their account at any time under Settings. Employers may close their account at any time by emailing support@madyhr.ai; doing so removes their adverts.
15. Our liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Job seekers are consumers, and nothing in these Terms affects their statutory rights.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law allows:
- The Site is free of charge and provided "as is". We give no warranty that it, or any advert on it, is accurate, complete, current, reliable or fit for any purpose.
- We are not liable for any advert, employer, provider, applicant or third-party site, or for the actions of any of them.
- We are not liable for the outcome of any application, or for any decision made in reliance on a match score or on sponsor information.
- We are not liable for loss of employment, loss of opportunity, loss of income or profit, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss.
- Our total liability to any employer arising from the Site is limited to £100.
- Our total liability to any job seeker is limited to the extent the law allows for a free service, and in any case to £100.
16. Employer indemnity
Employers will indemnify MAKZEE against any claim, fine or loss arising from an advert they posted, from their treatment of applicants, or from their breach of employment, equality, immigration or data protection law.
17. Complaints
Email support@madyhr.ai. We acknowledge within 5 working days and aim to resolve within 30 days.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The new version will be published here with a new version number and date. Account holders will be emailed about material changes before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
19. General
These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy are the entire agreement between you and MAKZEE for the Site. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in force. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign this agreement; we may assign it to a successor of the business. No third party has rights under it.
20. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts, and nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory protection of the law where you live. If you use the Site from outside the UK, you are responsible for compliance with your own country's laws.
